Liberals spin history, as usual
Can someone fill me in as to the end of Jim Boyd’s column from the Star Tribune on 2-20? Because after the 3rd paragraph I had to puke, and could not read on.
He starts decently enough, writing about the immigration explosion Mpls experienced in 1895, but then whines that there were not enough schools and hospitals for an area that went from “a few hundred residents, to 300,000.”
Alright, things weren’t perfect, it takes time to build a village.
But Mr. Boyd exposes his liberal bias in the dreaded third paragraph, when he turns a historical reprise into a socialist rant: he blames the slow social advance to: “capitalism run amuk.”
Hey, don’t blame me, that’s an exact quote, it’s not my misspelling of amuck.
Anyway, the point is, if a population grows 100 fold in a year, there’s going to be some growing pains.
Oh, but let me guess, in Mr. Boyd’s perfect government run socialist paradise, all the schools, hospitals & day cares would have been set up years before, at taxpayer expense, just waiting for the people to come.
Oh joy, liberal socialist utopia.
Now, can your Marxist is cookie cutter world build us a new baseball park?
